Chief Information Commissioner, Khursheed Ahmed Ganai and District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary released Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), 2018, calendar at the sidelines of Roundtable on implementation of Right to Information Act, here at Rajouri today.Secretary SIC, Ashok Pandita, ADDC, AS Chib, SSP, Yugal K Manhas, DSWO (Nodal Officer BBBP Rajouri), Dr. Abdul Khabir, Dy Registrar, Waqar Talib besides other senior officers of district administration, office bearers of Press Club Rajouri and other media persons were present.Team BBBP under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Chairman District Task Force BBBP Rajouri had launched a focussed and targeted campaign across the district to effect behavioural changes and aware the general masses of the disastrous consequences of declining sex ratio in society.Several girl-child and meritorious girl students from different educational institutions and residential schools and hostels including Gujjars-Bakerwals and Pahari girl hostels have been felicitated by the district administration under BBBP.An exclusive library under BBBP with relevant study material for various competitive examinations for girl students is also being inaugurated in Rajouri shortly.Greeting kits containing greeting cards, bags, diaries, appreciation letters and other study material were provided to more than 300 meritorious girl students across the district.
