Dr Shehnaz Ganai today organised series of public meetings at Degwar, Khari Karmara and Gulpur panchayats which are on the actual line of control and appealed the people to vote for Sh Madan Lal Sharma, the Coalition Candidate from Jammu Poonch Parliamentary Seat. She said that by voting in favour of the coalition candidate will be the vote for Development and Good Governance. She said that Coalition stands for unity, peace and stability of all the areas of the state, and asked the people to remain vigilant against those who want to pide them in the name of region, religion, caste and creed. “You should remain united and extend fullest support to the Omar led coalition Government so that comprehensive and equitable developmental process started in the State could be successfully carried on across the State especially the far flung and remote areas,” she said. She said that Coalition Government during the five years has taken revolutionary steps, which have brought sea change in the day to day affairs of common people at the grass root level.

While referring to the Historical decision of the Coalition Government in establishing the administrative units across the state, she said that Government has narrowed the gap of governance and rather has brought the Governance at the Doorsteps. New Tehsils, Niabas and Blocks have been created, this decision is going bridge the gap between the people and the Government, which is going to make the people and the far flung areas see a new phase of Development and make people economically self reliant.Dr Ganai said the coalition government has set in motion an effective mechanism to empower people and involve them in planning and development process and said NC-Congress coalition has “given power to the voice of the people.”She said that five years of the coalition government witnessed innovative and far reaching measures, “and the decisions taken by the Government have shown very positive results both on development and political fronts”.

Referring to the enactment and implementation of Public Service Guarantee Act, Dr Ganai said that this initiative of the Government is significantly important to give legal force to the rights of the people for receiving public service from the government departments.  By introducing the act the Departments are supposed to provide the services to general public in a time bound manner and thereby an initiative to corruption free governance at grass root level.
