Dy CM inaugurates JDA Park worth Rs. 57.29 lakh at Rajinder Nagar

Bali reiterates development of Raipur-Domana as Model Constituency

Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh dedicated a newly developed park to the people of Rajidner Nagar JDA Housing Colony at Bantalab, here today.Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat, Minister of State for Housing & Power, Ms. Asiea Naqash and Financial Commissioner, Housing & Urban Development, K.B. Aggarwal were also present on the occasion.The park has been developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 57.29 lakh over 14.15 kanals of land by the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) with the provisions of all necessary basic amenities like ornamental rain shelter sheds, play station for the children, high mast lights, sitting benches and dustbins etc for the users.Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said that it is endeavor of the present dispensation to ensure all necessary amenities to the people in every nook and corner of the State and during the past three years several initiatives in this direction have been taken. He said the Government has formulated a well-knit programme to improve the important infrastructural facilities in the vital sectors like road, PHE, health, power and education which are key to the development.He sought the support of the people in efficient implementation of various development programmes and said that the people should play pro-active role and active involvement in the development process so that the benefits of various programmes reach at the grass root level.

Referring to some major initiatives by the present Government in Jammu city, Dr. Nirmal Singh said that inclusion of Jammu as Smart City is a landmark decision, under which the entire picture of the city will be changed. Under the Smart City programme, all modern amenities like wider roads, improved lanes & drains, 24x7 power, smart transport service and many more facilities shall be improved. He credited Prime Minister, Narender Modi for this mega project. The other important projects which are coming in Jammu city include, development of Tawi River front on the pattern of Sabarmati, Tawi Artificial Lake, Gandola Project, Fly over from 4th Tawi bridge to Muthi to decongest the traffic, 4-laning of important Jammu-Akhnoor road, Ring Road, Multi-tier parking project at Bus Stand.With the completion of these projects, the entire picture of Jammu city and peripheral areas will be transformed, said Dr. Singh.

Responding to the demands of locals, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the Government will address their all genuine issues like up-gradation of roads, power and drinking water on priority. He issued necessary directions to the officers of the JDA to examine these on priority and address appropriately.Bali Bhagat in his brief address congratulated the locals for this beautiful Lohri gift and maintained that in Raipur-Domana constituency six such public parks have been developed for the facilities of people. He thanked the Deputy Chief Minister for paying proper attention for the development of this constituency.  He reiterated the commitment of the Government to develop Raipur-Domana as Model constituency and work on several important projects is at rapid pace.Asiea Naqash also addressed the gathering and highlighted the programmes and policies of the Coalition Government.Earlier, the President, JDA Colony Rajinder Nagar, M.K. Dhar welcomed the Ministers and presented a memorandum of demands for the further development of the colony.Vice Chairman, JDA, Rajesh Shawan, Director Land Management, D.S. Katoch, SE, B.L. Bhagat, Secretary, Vinay Samotra, XEN Tarsem Lal Thapa and local leaders including Omi Khajuria and Madhusudhan were also present on the occasion.
