RDD launches Photo exhibition at Reasi

A photo exhibition to showcase the schemes and achievements of Rural Development Department began here today with overwhelming participation of people thronging the event from various parts of the district.In the exhibition, photos of over 800 works of MGNREGA selected from all panchyats of 12 blocks have been displayed besides the shots of bridges constructed in hilly areas by RDD in convergence with NHPC and the tractor roads established to connect small habitations.  The photos also reflect the geographic and economic conditions of a specific village where works of land development, connectivity and water bodies under MGNREGA have been completed besides generating employment opportunities for local people.The exhibition also displayed pictures of inauguration of bridges, ponds, canals, foot paths, culverts, drains etc besides photographs of tour of Union Joint Secretary of MGNREGA in Reasi for inspection of major development works.  The event will immensely help the visitors to develop a greater understanding of the government schemes and policies.
