Protest in Hajin against power crisis

Residents of Khos Mohallah of Hajin locality Tuesday blocked the Hajin-Srinagar road to protest against power crisis in the area.The protesters, mostly women held a dharna in front of PDD office Hajin located near Police Station and disrupted traffic movement on the road for about one hour.

They were shouting slogans against Power Development Department and demanding installation of a damaged electric transformer in their area.The protesters alleged that the area is reeling under darkness from past one month while PDD has been making no efforts to get the damaged transformer repaired.A police party later pacified the protesters and assured them matter will be taken up with the PDD officials.
