Ajay Nanda holds public grievances redress camps at Treen, Kandara villages

Says youth participation essential for growth, development

Minister of State for Finance and Planning Ajay Nanda today conducted an extensive tour of various rural and far off areas of the district and held public grievance redressal camps at Treen, Miyari and Kandara.The Minister took stock of public issues besides taking a feedback about the status of development works being executed in these villages. He assured the people that all their grievances and demands would be taken up with the concerned for an early redressal.Addressing at the grievances camps, the Minister said that during three year tenure of the government, numerous  development works have been taken up for overall development of Reasi, Pouni, Katra and Bhomag areas.The Minister said that the government is focusing on creating a durable road network and augmentation of power infra as a result of which 25 new power sub stations have been commissioned and 10 new roads have been sanctioned apart from widening and blacktopping of existing roads.Referring to issues of farmers, the Minister said strict instructions have been passed to Agriculture and Horticulture departments for ensuring time bound supply of seeds and plants to them.

Ajay Nanda called upon youth to involve themselves in the development of their respective areas as their participation and monitoring can help in transforming the socio-economic profile of the area.The Minister asked the field functionaries to disseminate awareness about schemes of their respective departments among the general masses so that they can take benefit for their socio-economic empowerment.The Minister also inspected various ongoing development works being executed in these areas and asked the executing agencies for quality and timely completion.Earlier, the Minister distributed dustbins among locals of ward 1 and 6 of Reasi town and interacted with the people to know their problems and demands.The Minister was accompanied by senior officers of various departments.
