ACK reviews measures for operationalization of AN-32 Courier Service

Additional Commissioner Kashmir (ACK), Abdul Salam Mir today convened a meeting with Civil Administration, Police and Aviation authorities to review the necessary arrangements for operationalization of AN-32 Air Force Courier services.The service would operate from Kargil to Srinagar and Kargil to Jammu during the current winter season.The Additional Commissioner Kashmir directed the concerned authorities to work in tandem and maintain close coordination for smooth operation of the courier service. He directed for all necessary steps to be taken to provide better services to the passengers so that people can travel conveniently  during this winter season.He also urged upon the concerned agencies to use all forms of media for better dissemination of information regarding flight timings, rescheduling or cancellations if any on a real-time basis.The ACK impressed upon the liaison officers to ensure that tickets are issued on first-come, first-served basis and priority be given to ladies, old-aged persons, infants and patients. Facilities including the deployment of security personnel, medical team, fire tenders, and transportation to airport besides other prerequisites were also discussed threadbare.Director Airport Authority of India, Director Health Services, SSP Anti-Hijacking Srinagar Airport, Assistant Commissioner, Commandant CRPF Srinagar Airport, Station Manager Air India, General Manager JKSRTC, Deputy Director Planning and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
