To review the preparedness regarding Intensified Mission INDERDHANUSH Phase-IV, Principal Secretary Health & Medical Education, Dr.Pawan Kotwal, visited the urban slums of Jammu in Bhatindi and Rajiv Nagar Colony today.He was accompanied by Director Health Services Dr. Gurjeet Singh Soodan, Director Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization Dr. Sameer Mattu, Chief Medical Officer Dr.Sanjay Turki, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr.Yousuf, District Immunization Officer, Dr. Sanjay Sharma, SMO (WHO) Dr.Ravinder Pal Singh and other officials. Director Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization briefed the Principal Secretary regarding preparedness of Jammu district for Intensified Mission INDERDHANUSH Phase-IV.Dr Pawan Kotwal directed Director Health Services to examine the feasibility of opening of NTPHC at Rajiv Nagar to cater to the needs of the slum dwellers and to provide them prompt medical care.Director Health Services informed that IMI Phase-IV shall be undertaken as per schedule and vaccinators from migrant staff shall work in Jammu urban in place of NHM staff.He also revealed that the adjoining districts of Jammu i.e. Reasi, Samba and Udhampur shall be asked to depute their vaccinators to augment the manpower shortage.
