R-day arrangements discussed

District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar convened a meeting of district officers  to discuss the arrangements for  Republic Day celebrations , here today.ADDC, Arvind Sharma, ADC, Krishan Lal Sharma, GM DIC, Suram Chand Sharma PO ICDS, Rimpy Ohri, ACR, Subash Dogra, CPO, Ashok Khajuria,SDM'sChenani,Ramnagar,Dudu, Basantgarh, District Information Officer, Udhampur Angrej Singh Executive  Engineers of PWD, PDD,PHE,PMGSY,District Heads of Health, Agriculture, Horticulture, RDD, PDD, Youth Services and Sports, Education, Transport, Municipality and heads of colleges and Higher Secondary Schools were present in the meeting.It was decided in the meeting that the day would start with playing of Shehnai Vadan  in the morning by the District Information Centre Udhampur followed by flag hoisting by VIP at PG College for Boys and march past by the contingents of District Police, SKPA,  NCC and   children of various schools. Cultural programmes by  students would also be presented on the occasion.Arrangements like seating, barricading, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, first-aid, security, transport, Traffic regulations and refreshment to students participating in the National function were also discussed in the meeting.Committees of officers for conducting rehearsals from January 16 and making other allied arrangements were also constituted by the DDC.The DDC directed the concerned officers to put in place all the necessary arrangements well in time for the smooth and enthusiastic celebrations of the National event and impressed upon all the officers to work in coordinated manner for the smooth celebrations of the National festival.
