Health Minister urges doctors to work with dedication

Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar urged the doctor’s to work with full dedication for serving the patients and behave in a friendly manner with them. He asked them to fix target of 100 days and work with coordination for achieving the targets.The Minister who was presiding over a meeting of health officers here today said that the government was implementing various schemes in the health sector and it should be ensured that the targeted people get the maximum benefit.He said that the government was providing free travelling facility and medicines to the expectant mothers and their after for one year alongwith the child to visit hospital and back home. A sum of Rs. 20 crore was being spent on this scheme during this financial year. The government was also providing 330 types of medicine free of cost under National Health Mission.Shri Parmar said that dialysis units had been established in Solan, Mandi, Dharmshala, Kullu and Bilaspur hospital and this facility would be soon made available in Shimla, Una, Nahan, Chamba, Hamirpur, Paonta Sahib and Palampur hospitals. The dialysis facility was being provided at nominal rates amounting between Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1500 whereas BPL families were being not charged for it.Principal Secretary Health Prabodh Sexena, Special Secretary, Health and Director, National Health Mission Pankaj Rai, Director Health Dr. Baldev Thakur and others senior officers were present in the meeting.
