Faculty Development Program held at Aryans

To strengthen the contribution of teachers and professors towards the field of academics with an insight to reduce the gaps between demand and actual performance in academics, Aryans Group of Colleges organized Faculty Development Programme (FDP) in Aryans Campus situated at Vill. Nepra, Chandigarh-Patiala Highway, Near Chandigarh.FDP was organized with aim to improve the skills of the faculty to face the upcoming changes in the current education scenario. All the faculty members of Aryans Group participated enthusiastically and discussed on different issues with the senior faculty members. Lectures and presentations were given on different subjects.Prof. A.P Jain, Director, Aryans Group of Colleges said that the main theme of this program was continuous updating of knowledge base of teachers through various academic and non academic means. He added that the contribution of teachers towards overall development of students as well as their personalities through the principles of motivation and organizational behavior was discussed.

Prof. Jain further said that FDP aims at equipping teachers with skills and knowledge that are essential for inculcating entrepreneurial values in students and guiding and monitoring their progress towards entrepreneurial career. FDP is designed to train and develop faculty members so that they can act as resource persons in guiding and motivating the young generation.Mr. B.S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group said that the primary goal of faculty development is to help faculty learn new ways to achieve excellence and to grow as faculty members. He further said that it is an ongoing process of understanding, learning and growth. Faculty development includes education, collaboration, resources and support.

Ms. Varinder Kaur Coordinator Aryans Group said that these kinds of FDPs are need of the hour. Faculty feels motivated and responsible to work more for the development of the students. The ultimate benefit of these programmes is gained the students only through their teachers.It is to be mentioned that around 80 faculty members from Management, Engineering, Education, Nursing Department etc. of Aryans Group participated in the Programme.
