Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary today conducted an extensive tour of Suchetgarh Constituency and inspected the pace of progress of various developmental works being executed by different executing agencies, besides addressed a series of public meetings.The Minister directed the concerned Executing Agencies to expedite the pace of work on all ongoing developmental projects and ensure their timely completion and also asked them to strictly adhering with the specification and use of quality material.Addressing the public meeting at village Katyal, the Minister reiterated the commitment of government to work for the development and welfare of people, saying that various welfare schemes are under implementation in the State.He asked people to come forward and avail the benefits of these schemes. He also appealed people to work collectively in development process of their respective area.Responding to the demands of locals, the Minister assured that concrete crates along the bunds of River Tawi would be laid so that the agricultural land of the area is protected from the floods.Earlier, the deputations and individuals from Talhar, Philora, Korotana, Bhojpur, Dablehar, Magowali, Sai, Devigarh and adjoining areas participated in the public grievances redresssal camp at R. S Pura and projected developmental issues of their respective areas with regard to construction of lanes, drains, erection of electric poles and installation of transformers to improve power supply and sought Minister’s intervention for their early redressal.During the Darbar, the Minister gave patient hearing and assured the people that their genuine demands will be looked into. He, however, in some cases gave on-the-spot directions to the concerned for immediate redressal.
