Vice-chairman Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Wakf Board Nizam-ud-Din Bhat has hailed the state administration for  its cooperation in providing necessary facilities to thousands of devotees at Khanqah-e-Gous-ul-Azam (RA) Khanayar and other shrines of the revered religious luminary and "Valiye Kaamil" on his annual Urs here on Saturday.Bhat personally paid obeisance at the Shrine and participated in the Majlis-e-Darood-o-Azkaar. He appreciated the religious fervour of the people who also bore with the Board staff and administration and kept the sanctity of the occasion as a respect for faith.Bhat said devotees, Board and administration take it as a shared responsibility to provide all possible facilities to devotees on such events and contribute amply to maintain the same sanctity of religious places.Bhat took the first meeting of officers of Wakf at its office and asked them to work together for enhancing the prestige of the Board.He said the institution of Wakf has potential and capacity to be the real guardian Wakf properties even not specified and involvement of all Muslim institutions for Muslim welfare and religious awareness is the basic and common objective.Bhat said Board has served the purpose well and hoped it will further improve its functioning and raise its own stock as one of the true trustee of heritage and faith.
