DIC organises awareness camp on Zero Defect Zero Effect scheme

An awareness camp on ‘Zero Defect Zero Effect’ scheme of Ministry of MSME was organised by District Industries Centre in collaboration with Quality Council of India, here today.GM DIC Rajinder Sharma welcomed the participants and apprised the industrialists about the salient features of the scheme.Assistant Director, Quality Council of India Manik Gupta  made a detailed presentation about the scheme which is aimed at enhancing the quality of products manufactured by MSME industry with the aim at reducing the polluting effects of manufacturing and improving quality of products at the same time enabling them to compete effectively in the Global market.A large number of industrialists along with representatives of industrial associations participated along with Assistant Director- Quality Council of India Manish Vashistha.

President Industrial Association Ajit Bawa said that organising the camp was a good step to acquaint the industrial houses with its objective. He appealed that more and more industrialists shall register with the government under the ZED Scheme which is very beneficial for Indian manufacturing. Registration is a very simple process and more than 60 members got themselves registered today, he added.Pertinent to mention here that Ministry of MSME has notified a scheme called “Financial Support to MSMEs in ZED Certification Scheme” which was launched by the Prime Minister  Narendra Modi on October 18, 2016 at Ludhiana.The scheme is an extensive drive of the Government of India to enhance global competitiveness of MSMEs by providing them financial support in assessment, rating and handholding of its manufacturing processes on Quality and Environment aspects.Others present on the occasion were President Industrial Association, Hiranagar, Raj Sharma, General Secretary Industrial Association Sandeep Mittal, Vice-President Industrial Association,  Vinay Mahajan, Rajesh Gupta, Gaurav Passi, RP Aggarwal and others.
