Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura lays foundation of Sheep Veterinary Hospital at Nowpora

Terms regularization of contractual employees as a historic decision

Minister for Agriculture Production, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today laid the foundation stone of the veterinary hospital of the sheep husbandry department being constructed at Nowpora Village in Chadoora.It was informed that Rs 21.5 lakh has been sanctioned for the project, out of which Rs 10.05 lakh has been released for the construction of the veterinary. It was also informed that the amount has been released to the Horticulture, Planning and Marketing Department as it is the executing agency under the centrally sponsored Establishment and Strengthening of Veterinary Hospitals and Dispensaries (ESVHD) scheme. On the occasion, the Minister said that the veterinary centre would provide all the health services to the sheep of the area.He further announced that a dental section would be established at a local health centre soon to provide better and further health services to the local residents. He said that the present dispensaion was committed for the development of all areas and tackling the unemployment issue among the youth.

 Terming the decision of regularization of 60000 contractual and ad-hoc employees as historic, the Minister said, “Government is committed to provide employment to the educated youth.”Joint Director Sheep Husbandry and District Sheep Officer and other officers were also present on the occasion.Meanwhile, Minister along with Deputy Commissioner Budgam Mohammad Harun Malik visited shrine of Sheikh-ul-Alam Hazrat Noor-ud-Din Wali R.A at Charar-e-Sharief and paid obeisance there.Minister also took the review of the different ongoing work projects including shopping complex and mega drainage project. He instructed concerned to expedite and complete the work in the stipulated time period.  He also instructed concerned to ensure land identification for the construction of the lavatory block within the shrine compound and widening of the main road near the shopping complex for the hassle-free movement of devotees.
