DDC conducts public grievances redressal camp at Haribudha

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch, Tariq Ahmed Zargar today conducted public grievances redressal camp at Haribuddha in Poonch district and listened the various issues and grievances of the general masses.Senior officers of PDD, PHE, RDD, Education, R&B, Agriculture and Horticulture departments were present on the occasion.Several deputations and individuals met the DDC and put forth their genuine issues which included early enrolment under Aadhaar, completion of pending works on PMGSY road from Naria to Haribuddha, up-gradation of High School Haribuddha, up-gradation of power infrastructure, adequate staff in health and educational institutions, old age pension and supply of ration as per scale fixed by Food, Consumer Affairs and Civil Supplies department.During the camp, the DDC gave patient hearing to the demands and issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned officers to mitigate the problems without further delay.

Regarding up-gradation of Naria to Haribuddha road, the DDC asked the Executive Engineer R&B to immediate call the tenders for early start of the project. He also directed the health department to immediately post one pharmacist at PHC Haribuddha.DDC informed that settlement of old age pension cases is under process and would be settled at the earliest. He said Aadhar enrollment centre will be setup at Serikhawaja where the Aadhar card will be prepared twice in a month.He also informed that Government has provided 17 lakh to PWD department for the construction of school building under district plan, adding that the project would be started after completing tendering formalities.DDC asked the Horticulture and Agriculture departments to conduct awareness programmes for educating the people about the State and centrally sponsored schemes under both the sectors. He asked the Health department to arrange free health checkup camps in the far-off pockets of the district for the convenience of the general masses.
