DDC Kupwara conducts extensive tour of Gazriyaal, Gushie-Pazipora, Drugmulla villages

Inspects ongoing developmental works under PHE, reviews implementations CM’s commitments

The District Development Commissioner, Kupwara Khalid Jahangir conducted an extensive tour to a number of villages within Kupwara constituency to review the on-spot status/implementation of different on-going developmental works in connection with commitments of CMs directions.While inspecting the functioning of drinking water schemes at Gazriyaal the District Development Commissioner interacted with the public at Gazriyal. The DDC assured the public of the area that drinking water supply shall be provided to all the inhabitants as per the availability and keeping in view their needs in order to ensure early implementation of CM’s directions.The ACR Kupwara, SE Hydraulic, Xen PHE Kupwara Tehsildar Kralpora besides other officers accompanied the DDC. Later on, the DDC Kupwara along with all officers carried out a detailed inspection of Gazriyal SR and enquired about the water sources and position obtaining on the ground. Alternate water resources including restoration Well and Springs were also inspected for arriving at a solution.

While inspecting the Gushie-Pazipora water supply scheme the district development commissioner directed the executing authority to submit their report of functioning within two days, so that further action shall be initiated in this regard. At Drugmulla the PHE authorities were asked to take up construction of Dug Well immediately. He also directed the PHE authorities to lift the water for existing scheme through Nalla-Khamil besides exploring possibilities to remove old piping network at Drugmulla area.Several public deputations met the DDC Kupwara and team of officers during the tour and projected their demands and urged for speedy implementation of directions of CM’s commitments issued by her during Kupwara tour.
