VC JKWDC inspects women self-employment units

Vice Chairperson Jammu and Kashmir Women Development Corporation, Vijaya Dogra today inspected various units established by the women beneficiaries in Jammu district.The units visited by the VC included Knitting Unit of Smeeta Gupta at Nanak Nagar, Computer Unit of Mumta at Nanak Nagar, Boutique of Nadee Sharma at Shastri Nagar, cloth shop of   MallaatBalla Narwal, Dairy and Milk Products outlet of TahiraTabasum at Bathandi, Confectionery Unit of Poonam Gupta at Shaheedi Chowk and Tailoring unit of Shazia at Gujjar Nagar.The Vice Chairperson interacted with the beneficiaries and took stock of progress in their respective income generating units.She found all the units are functioning properly and the money released in their favor has been utilized judiciously.She advised the beneficiaries to further expand their activities as JKWDC is also providing a good marketing and related support to them in this regard. She said that the Corporation is also laying focus on encouraging self-employment ventures in various lucrative vocation like mushroom cultivation, Fish pounds, pickle making, making of natural cosmetic items etc.The VC was accompanied by several senior officers of the Corporation during her visit.
