'Raja Rani' dubbed Telugu version a hit

The dubbed Telugu version of the hit Tamil romantic-drama "Raja Rani" raked in Rs.2.01 crore in its opening weekend. Trade analyst Trinath calls it "an exceptional start" for a dubbed movie.The Telugu version was released Friday."It's an exceptional start for a dubbed film. 'Raja Rani' has collected Rs.2.01 crore gross in its opening weekend. It's been a long time since a Tamil movie dubbed in Telugu has turned out to be a hit. The film is on the verge of becoming a hit," Trinath told IANS.The original, directed by debutant Atlee Kumar, minted over Rs.50 crore at the box office last year.The film, which features Arya, Jai, Nayantara and Nazriya Nazim, revolves around a love story between two couples post marriage.A.R. Murugadoss, Fox Star Studios and The Next Big Films jointly produced “Raja Rani”.
