Warm Farewell accorded to Principal Secretary APD

A farewell party was organized today by the officers of Jammu Division of Agriculture Department in the honour of  Sundeep Kumar Nayak Principal Secretary, Agriculture Production Department who has been recently transferred to Central deputation.Minister of State for Agriculture, Sunil Kumar Sharma, who was the Chief Guest of the function, commended the services of Mr Nayak.  He enumerated the achievements under the vibrant and dynamic leadership of Sh Nayak as Principal Secretary in Agriculture Production Department.  He also praised the devotion, dedication and professionalism shown by the officer in his working.The special guest of the occasion, Nayak spoke at length about the team spirit and the improved work culture in the Department at all levels.  He said that he had made all out efforts for the betterment and welfare of the farming community through better implementation of various centrally sponsored and state sector schemes.  He advised all the officers to work with a missionary zeal, sincerity and dedication. He added that the goals of agriculture development need to be defined so as to work with clarity to achieve the targets like doubling farmers’ income by 2022, har khet ko pani, coverage under crop Insurance and Soil Health Card schemes.

Director Agriculture Jammu  H K Razdan, while speaking on this occasion thanked the  Ministers and Mr Nayak for bringing vibrancy in the Department by  showing keen interest in solving the issues and problems of the officers’ fraternity. Other Officers who were present at the occasion included Secretary APD Sh Showkat Ahmed Beigh, Director Finance Sh Mohd. Yusuf, Director CAD S Jatinder Singh, OSD to Hon’ble Minister Sh G N Bhat, Joint Directors, Chief Agriculture Officers, DAOs, SDAOs, AEOs and JAEOs of the Department.Officers of the Department Sh Vijay Upadhaya, Sh Pradeep Sharma and Sh Rajesh Langer  also spoke at the occasion and thanked  the Hon’ble Ministers and Mr. Nayak for streamlining through introduction of One Man One Post (OMOP) pattern and giving new direction to the Department. The proceedings of the function were conducted by Sh C. M. Sharma, Deputy Director (Central) Jammu and Sh Rajesh Verma, AEO. The vote of thanks was presented by Sh K. S. Sambyal, Joint Director of Agriculture (Inputs) Jammu.
