Milad arrangements finalized at Baramulla, Kupwara

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash today convened a meeting here to finalize the arrangements put in place for the smooth celebration of forthcoming Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) in the District.ADDC Mohammad Qasim Wani, Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Farooq Ahmad Baba, ADC Sopore Khursheed Ahmad Shah, SE PDD, ACR G A Malla, Tehsildars, Engineers of line departments, Auqaf Committee Members, and various other concerned officers were present in the meeting.On the occasion, various members of Auqaf Committees appraised the DC about various demands including uninterrupted power supply during these days.The DC directed the concerned officers to ensure uninterrupted power and drinking water supply to the devotees who are expected to throng the Dargah Alliya (old town) Khankah Maulla Sopore and Takia Tapper shrines during the holy days. He directed EOs of Municipal Committees of Baramulla, Sopore and Pattan to ensure cleanliness in and around the shrines in their respective areas of jurisdiction and install lights wherever necessary. He also directed the concerned officers to ensure availability of essential commodities including, rice, Atta, sugar, LPG and K-Oil etc.

The DC directed the Health Department to ensure availability of Medicare and first aid facility at the venues while as ARTO was directed to keep available adequate transport facilities on all the routes in the district during the holy days.Meanwhile, District Development Commissioner, Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir also chaired a high-level meeting of Officers to finalize   arrangements for Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).On the occasion, the DDC directed Municipal Committees to maintain sanitation measures at public and religious places in Kupwara, Handwara and Langate areas.FCS&CA officials were directed to make all essential commodities available and their sale outlets besides the Food Safety Officer was directed to intensify market checking on the daily basis. While Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department were asked to make poultry birds available.During the meeting, the PHE department informed that drinking water facilities during night hours would be supplied through tankers. The chair directed the ARTO MVD to make suitable arrangements of transport facilities to the general public especially devotees.The DDC impressed upon all service providers to provide hassle-free services during the Milad days.
