Adil had escaped from encounter site at Saimoh when Sabzar was killed

A Hizbul Mujhadeen militant Adil Rashid Chopan was killed in a brief shootout at Gulshanpora Gujjarbasti area of Tral town in South Kashmir’s Puwama district on Monday.Adil was killed after a group of militants reportedly fired upon a patrolling party.The Government forces launched a search operation and during the exchange of fire, the militant was killed.Srinagar based Defense spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia confirmed the death of Hizb militant and said that combing operation was lauched to track down the militants.Eyewitnesses told news agency CNS that when the death of the militant spread in the town, youth in different areas took to roads and pelted stones on government forces.They added that clashes erupted in different areas of the town including Larow, Batagund, Gulshanpora and Lurgam.Pertinently, the slain militant had managed to escape from encounter site in May this year when top militant commander Sabzar Ahmed Bhat and his close aide Faizan Ahmed were killed at Saimoh village of the town.Adil Rashid, a resident of Larow village of Tral town of Puwama in South Kashmir was a teenager who had suffered injuries in Saimoh encounter but had managed to flee from the encounter spot after people rushed to help him escape.The video’s and photographs people flocking around him after the encounter had gone viral and were widely shared by netizens.
