Hajin Gunfight: Five militants killed in ongoing operation

Five militants have been killed in an ongoing encounter in Hajin area of north Kashmir's Bandipora district.Army's Srinagar based defence spokesman told news agency GNS that a Joint team of army, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon following specific inputs about presence of some militants at Chandergeer in Hajin.As such the joint team of forces intensified the combing operation, the hiding militants opened fire upon them triggering of an encounter, he said."So far five militants have been killed in the operation", he said, adding that searches in the area is still going on.
