A meeting of office bearers of All India Federation of Self Financing Technical Institutions under the leadership of Chief Patron, Sri R.S Munirathinam and President, Dr. Anshu Kataria was recently held in Chennai. Delegations from various surrounding State Associations including Kerela, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana etc also participated in the meeting.In the meeting, President, Dr. Anshu Kataria and General Secretary, Sri KVK Rao of the association were felicitated by the consortium of Self Financed Engineering Colleges of Tamil Nadu. The Federation expressed their happiness on the recent judgement given by Hon'ble Supreme Court on Orissa Lift Irrigation Corporation Limited Vs Rabi Sankar Patro wherein a high level committee would be set up in six months to examine the issues and suggest a road map for strengthening & setting up an oversight & regulatory mechanism in the relevant field of higher education.In order to save thousands of AICTE approved Colleges of the Country, Federation further urged Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi and MHRD Minister, Sh. Prakash Javadekar to ask all the Private Universities & Deemed Universities to get AICTE Approvals and get intake of seats fixed by AICTE.
