Chairperson JKSSWB calls on Governor N. N. Vohra

Prof. Nirmal Gupta, Chairperson, J&K State Social Welfare Board (JKSSWB), called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today and briefed him about the varied activities undertaken by the Board in the past months.Appreciating the work being done the Governor stressed the importance for the State Board to vigorously pursue and effectively implement the various Central and State Government welfare schemes and programmes which are aimed at alleviating the condition of the destitutes, disabled, widows and orphans in the State.
