Asiea Naqash reviews PET scan upcoming facility at SKIMS

Minister of State for Health and Medical Education, Asiea Naqash today reviewed the progress of the installation of PET scan machine in SKIMS.The Minister was informed that the installation of PET scan machine is already completed, and is presently undergoing quality control tests.Asiea directed the authorities to speed up the process of Quality Control Tests so that the PET scan facility will be started soon for cancer patients in Valley.The Minister informed that the Health department will also start PET scan facility at SMHS soon. She said the department is preparing a DPR for procurement of the machine.Prof Sameer Naqash, Prof Shoukat Khan, Dr M Iqbal Lon, Dr Muzafar Maqsood of SKIMS and other concerned officers were present at the meeting.
