MLA Karnah, DDC Kupwara conduct public grievance redressal camp

Member Legislative Assembly from Karnah, Raza Manzoor and District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir Saturday conducted an extensive tour of various far-flung areas of the district to take stock of availability of basic facilities ahead of severe winter months.During their tour, the MLA and DDC conducted an Awami Durbar at Mundiyan, Keran wherein several public deputations put forth their demands and problems confronting them.  Issues regarding road connectivity, drinking water, health facilities repairs of roads leading  to Keran, inner link roads, postings of government employees, additional accommodation for Government HSS Keran, completion of PHC Keran, completion of Mundiyan bridge, basic facilities within Model Village Keran at Mundiyan and other matters were highlighted by the public during the durbar.Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the Government is keen to provide all required basic facilities to the people at their doorsteps even in remote areas of the State.He said to improve surface connectivity to the remote areas of the district, work on the road from Farkiyan to Keran has been taken up for up gradation under CRF, besides work is apace on Rs 3.50 crore Mudyan. 

While as inner link roads are being taken up, he said.He said all the basic facilities of modern day-life would be provided under BADP model village project. He impressed upon the concerned officers and executing agencies to ensure timely completion of all ongoing projects. He announced that helicopter service to Keran is in process and execution of helipad is in full swing to provide health and other facilities to the people of the area.The MLA appreciated the role of district administration for holding Awami Durbars at this remotest area to resolve the people’s problems. He directed the district and local administration to ensure regular attendance of government employees at their place of postings.On the occasion, DDC Kupwara said the Public Durbar was initiated by the district administration under Public Contact Programme. He said all the genuine projects demands would be looked into and redressed on priority. He said that district administration has allocated necessary amount for taking up the construction works in the area for improving basic facilities in the area.He directed the executing agencies to complete all the development works under Health, Education, Rural Development, I&FC, R&B by March 2018.
