Ajay Nanda holds grievances redressal camp at Kanjali

Minister of State for Finance and Planning Ajay Nanda held grievance redressal camp at Kanjali to redress the issues being faced by the residents of Kanjali and its adjoining areas, here today.During the visit, the Minister also dedicated one power sub-station to people besides distributing sewing machines and handicapped pension cards among the beneficiaries. Later, the Minister also visited the site of a bridge over Khad and kick started its pending works.The Minister was accompanied by District Development Commissioner Prasanna Ramaswamy G, ACR Harbans Lal, ACD M.Y. Malik, DSWO Kulraj Singh, Tehsildar Rajesh Attri, CMO, Executive Engineers of R&B, PDD, PHE and REW, Chief Agriculture Officer and various other officers and officials of various departments.In the camp, the minister was apprised about the major issues including demand for well constructed  foot path for people and students till construction of motorable road, houses under PMAY to deserving families, RBA status to village Kanjali, restoration works in Tanda areas, requisite staff and machines for Bore well .The locals also demanded power supply to 50 un-electrified households, water supply to two left out habitations namely Selli and Miyari, Higher Secondary School at Kanjali, AWCs in Ward-1, 8, 7 and 2, primary school at Miari and Palial areas, Butaan-Kanjali road, seed distribution center etc. 

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister lauded RDD for sanctioning development works worth 1.5 crores including protection works, land development and said that the government   is committed to provide clean administration, good governance and ensure  holistic development of all rural and urban areas. Focusing on Bombyal- Dera road, the Minister said that government is committed to construct this road at the earliest for  another shortest route to Reasi from Jammu apart from providing uninterrupted connectivity to this backward area. While announcing the construction of Rawat road in convergence mode of CDF with MGNREGA, the Minister also assured construction of Deva Mai road keeping in view its importance for the farmers.The Minister also stressed upon district administration to take up new initiatives for empowerment of women, besides creating mass awareness programmes regarding sanitation and hygiene alongwith development of tourist infrastructure to attract adventure tourists and pilgrims.
