Youth has power to change future of nation : Acharya Devvrat

Governor Acharya Devvrat today presided over the inter school cultural competition organized by Sri Ramanand Nirmla Devi Sood Charitable Trust at Karsog in Mandi district.Speaking on the occasion, he said youth were the future of the country and therefore it was must to make them responsible citizens. India had the maximum youth and the nation had great expectations from them. It was must that spirit of moral values and respect for the country was inculcated in them along-with the modern and higher education and this was possible only by providing them information regarding our prestigious history and books based on lives of great personalities. Acharya Devvrat urged the youth to give due respect to their teachers and elders, contribute in environment preservation and abstain from social evils.He appreciated the efforts of the Trust for promoting cultural heritage, which would motivate the younger generation to excel in their lives and serve the society.The Governor distributed the prizes to the winners of various competitions on this occasion.Earlier, acting Chief Justice of H.P High Court Justice Sanjay Karol apprised the Governor that as many as 1300 students of 23 schools participated in this competition. He also detailed about various activities being undertaken by the Trust.Justice Vivek Singh Thakur, Justice Ajay Mohan Goyal, Justice Chander Bhushan Barowalia, former Judges T.S Rana and Kuldeep Singh and other prominent person of the area were present on the occasion.
