Dak appreciates installation of EEG facility at GB Pant Hospital

Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) president Dr Suhail Naik Friday  appreciated the installation of Electro Encephalography(EEG) Machine at lone Pediatric  hospital,G B Pant which was today inaugurated by PawanKotwal,Commissioner Secretary Health,J&K.Meanwhile Dr Irfan,Vice President, DAK & President, Resident Doctors Association(RDA),GMC,Srinagar said that it will play an important role in mitigating the miseries of parents whose kids are suffering from convulsive disorders. It is pertinent to mention here that earlier these patients were referred to SMHS hospital and was thus causing lot of hardships to parents of these children.DAK also welcomed the step taken by the Govt. recently in which all the baseline diagnostic tests aredone free of charge at hospitals,however DAK stresses the Govt. to include  high end Investigations like Computed Tomography(CT) Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)and ultrasonography(USG) into it in future so that patients are benefited. Furthermore DAK also stresses upon the  government that infrastructure in the rural hospitals  must be upgraded so that the referrals are decreased and quality  health care is provided at door steps.DAK hoped that the demands are looked into which will in turn  help in providing further better health care.
