Swearing-In To Be Held At Chapparchirri On March 14

The Legislative Party of Shiromani Akali Dal today unanimously elected Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, Patron of Shiromani Akali Dal as their leader paving the way for creating history for his swearing-in as Chief Minister of Punjab for fifth term. The swearing-in ceremony of new government would be held at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Yaadgaar at Chhaparchiri in Ajitgarh district on March 14 at 11am.  The Party also unanimously gave credit to Party President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal for chalking out detailed winning strategy to decimate Congress party from the electoral politics of Punjab. 

Chairing the meeting of newly elected MLAs of Shiromani Akali Dal at Punjab Bhawan, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today thanked all Punjabis for reiterating their faith in the programs and policies of SAD-BJP government and creating a history in Punjab to bring back an incumbent government for second term. He said that he was thankful to the Almighty for giving him strength to fulfill the task during last five years and has sought blessings form God to live up to the aspirations of the electorate in the fresh term. He said that we have to redouble our efforts to live up to the challenges of governance in next five years.

Exhorting the newly elected MLAs to become agents of change, Mr. Badal said that we should also collectively take a vow that we would ensure justice while performing our duties and contribute our might to accelerate the ongoing development process in the state. He said that we have to fulfill the aspirations of the people and become a tool to implement the pro-poor, pro-people policies of the alliance.
