DDC Kargil reviews progress under non-plan sector, supply position of essentials

District Development Commissioner and CEO, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil, Haji Gulzar Hussain today convened a meeting to review the performance achieved under non-plan sector and stock and supply position of essential commodities in the district.The meeting was attended by the Superintending Engineer PWD Kargil, J.K Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Development, Kacho Turab Shah, Executive Engineers of PDD, PWD and PHE, CMO, CEO and other sectoral officers.Threadbare discussions were held regarding the expenditure incurred under various heads of the non-plan sector. The DDC sought a detailed progress report from the concerned officers in this regard. He impressed upon the officers to strictly adhere to the codal formalities while executing the works.The DDC also took stock of supply and stock position of key construction materials and other essential commodities in the district. He directed the officers to ensure the stocking of essentials at the earliest in view of the limited working season and the approaching winter.He also instructed the officers to maintain the quality and quantity of the essential commodities and key building materials and to get them strictly inspected and verified by the verification committees already constituted in this regard.Earlier, an awareness-cum-exposure session for district officers on Government e-Marketplace (GeM) was also held on the occasion during which the officers of the National Informatics Center, Kargil apprised them about the various aspects of the genesis, registration process, utility, prerequisites, advantages and other aspects of the GeM system.
