DDC chairs DLRC / DCC meeting

District Development Commissioner, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, today chaired a meeting of District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) for the quarter ended June 2017 to review the performance of banks in respect of achievements under Annual Credit Plan 2017-18 besides taking stock of position of Deposits, Advances and CD Ratio.District Development Commissioner stressed upon to increase the CD ratio by forming a Committee of the members from major banks and government departments under the Chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner. This committee will meet at least once in three months.DDC stressed on the need of holding Financial Literacy camps in collaboration with Banks and government departments under intimation to Chairman on regular basis and these camps may also be utilized by the banks for creating awareness among the people about the Financial literacy, PMEGP, Housing for all, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna & 100% coverage under KCCs etc.Lead District Manager, Bhupendra Singh, informed the meeting about the deposits of the district that were Rs. 33012.15 crore and advances Rs. 9648.42 crore, as on 30.06.2017 and the CD ratio of the district was 29.20 per cent.

 Kumar asked the officials to draft an inclusive strategy to support and motivate the new entrepreneurs and guide them towards a financial viable business opportunities. Efforts need to be made to boost the small scale industries in the district, he added. 

 He further advised that Banks and Government Departments to come out with DPRs of various projects and make it available on website, so that the entrepreneurs may be able to reach to the desired project.DDC asked Lead Bank to draw a calendar for organising product specific camps like Financial Inclusion, housing loan melas, Education fairs, MSME seminars etc so that awareness about such facilities is disseminated to specific target groups.The meeting had also a detailed review of all the government sponsored schemes with special focus on PMEGP Schemes.The DDC advised the sponsoring agencies to conduct awareness camps in coordination with banks, so that more and more people are educated, motivated and facilitated to undertake self employment activities.Among others bankers from RBI. Abhilasha Diwalar and from NABARD S.K. Sonkar, District Coordinators of JK Bank, PNB, JKGB, EDB, Director RSETI Tilak Raj, FLCC Counselor and representatives from all other Banks and government departments were present in the meeting.
