Cultural Academy Doda organizes multilingual Mushaira at GDC Ramban

A district level multilingual ‘Mushaira' was organized by the J&K Academy of Arts, Culture & Languages (JKAACL), Sub- Office Doda in collaboration with the Government Degree College (GDC), Ramban.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gurvinder Jeet Singh was the chief guest, renowned Urdu poet Farid Ahmed Zargar alias Faridi presided over the Mushaira and Principal GDC Ramban,  Dr. R.K Tikoo was the guest of honour on the occasion.Speaking on the occasion ADC lauded the efforts of the JKAACL, Sub- Office, Doda for organising  the Mushaira   which would encourage the youth of Ramban District to participate and polish their skills in such literary functions.Farid Ahmed Zargar after reciting his number of shers (verses) in Urdu lauded the efforts of the JKAACL in promoting the local dialects of Ramban district besides Urdu and Kashmiri languages. He hoped that such cultural programmes go a long way in spreading the culture of Ramban district  especially among the young generation.13 poets including the moderator of the Mushaira, Prof.Shahjahan Alam Ganai  and various other poets from different parts of Ramban district recited their Shers ( verses) and Ghazals in Urdu,Dogri,Pogli,Seraj, Hindi and Kashmiri languages.
