Speaker kick-starts civic works at Raipur Satwari

Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today said that the State is witnessing a new era of developmental activities under the present regime.“Massive development activities started across the state is reflected in discernible change in the living standards of the people of the state” he said.The Speaker was addressing a gathering after launching civic works at Raipur Satwari. He appealed the people to  participate in the development process by keeping  close watch on the quality of works being executed in their respective areas.Kavinder said that the present government would leave no stone unturned in extending enhanced basic services to every part of the state with focus on unattended areas.   

The people of the area also apprised the Speaker about other demands related electricity, construction of roads and toilets.Responding to the demands, Kavinder assured them that the construction of main road of Raipur Satwari will be started soon and their other genuine problems will be examined on priority basis and addressed accordingly.The Speaker directed the concerned department to submit the details of the construction of said road so that further action can be initiated.Later, the Speaker also inaugurated the lane and drain at Shumali Mohalla in Raipur Satwari executed by Rural Development Department.Former Corporator, Pawan Singh, officers of concerned block and senior leaders were also present on the occasion.
