Minister lays foundation of residential quarters for district officers

Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda today said that state government has laid special focus on the infrastructural development in the state to improve living condition of people, particularly in rural areas.The Minister was interacting with district administration after laying the foundation of residential quarters for district officers here at Mari hills. The project would be completed at an estimated cost of 5.55 crore.“Apart from welfare of general public, our government is also committed to welfare of government functionaries   so that they  can perform their duties comfortably and serve the people in better way” the Minister added.The Minister asked executing agency to initiate the work on fast track basis for its early completion adding the quality norms should be strictly adhered to.Later, the Minister took round of the newly constructed  residential building for deputy  commissioner. He expressed satisfaction over the construction work and instructed the executing agency for proper landscaping and development of lawn and greenery outside the building.

 Meanwhile, the authorities of executing agency JKPCC informed that the proposed officers’ residential complex would   comprise two blocks with each having 12 quarters to be constructed over an area of 613 sqm. Each quarter would have two bedrooms, a living room, a dining hall ,    kitchen, bathroom and veranda. The road from Mari hill to the main Mari Nallah would also be developed for easy access to residential complex.  

The Minister was accompanied by DDC Ravinder Kumar, ADDC Ramseh Kumar, ADC Babu Ram, SSP Tahir Bhat, ACR Harbans Lal, ACD M.Y. Malik, CMO Dr. L.D. Bhagat, Deputy Director Planning Parshotam Kumar, XEN JKPCC and other district officers.
