Bali Bhagat lays foundation of sub-district hospital Padder

Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat other day laid foundation for upgrading Primary Health Centre Atholi Padder to sub-district hospital.The foundation stone for 25-bedded hospital was laid in presence of Minister of State for Transport, PWD (R&B), Revenue, RDD and Agriculture Production Sunil Kumar Sharma and MLC Firdous Ahmed Tak.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister reiterated the Government’s commitment to provide advanced healthcare facilities to the people especially living in remote areas. He said the 25-bedded hospital will cater to the medical needs of the people living in Padder area especially during the winter months when the area remains cut off from headquarter Kishtwar.The Minister said that the hospital will be equipped with modern facilities, life saving drugs and adequate number of doctors   other paramedical staff.Meanwhile, the health Minister visited District hospital Kishtwar here today and inspected facilities at AMT school, eye ward and other units of the hospital. He interacted with the patients and their attendants in emergency ward and took stock of medical facilities being provided to them.The Minister also inspected the developmental work of additional 100-bedded hospital here. He directed the CMO Kishtwar to remove the encroachment around boundary wall of the District hospital building and invite the tenders for running canteen.
