DC Tariq Ahamd Zargar holds public grievances redressal camp

District development commissioner, Tariq Ahamd Zargar along with a team of officers visited Degwar area  near LOC and convened public grievances redressal camp to take stock of public issues.The DC inspected the 5km Degwar Ajote road and instructed the PWD department for immediate take over of the project from GREF/BRO for early start of the work.During the public grievances redressal camp, the locals apprised the DDC of problems being faced by them including delay in preparation of  Adhar card, poor telecom Network connectivity besides issues of drinking water and power supply.Responding to people’s issues, the DDC issued instructions to the concerned officers for early solution of the same.

Pertinently, the DDC had a special meeting with SDMs,  tehsildars to review the pace of progress of biometric Adhar card centers in the district.

The SDMs and tehsildars were directed to monitor the working on daily basis besides focusing on left out areas.It was informed in the meeting that there are nine biometric centers in operation for making Adhaar cards in the district.To further accelerate the process of preparation of Adhaar cards, it was decided that two computer operators in each of nine existing centers would be deployed besides opening of more centers to cater to the requirements of the locals on this account.ADDC, Abdul Hamid, ADC, Gurvinderjeet Singh, district informatics officer Narinder Singh besides other concerned officers and officials were present on the occasion.
