Despite blocking of internet service in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, Technical Education Board completely callous of students problems is forcing them to pay additional late fee, a move resented by students who staged a protest on Monday.Students of government polytechnic college Larkipora in Anantnag district during their protest said that they failed to submit their admission forms online as internet service remained suspended for four days in the town. They said that despite this,Technical Education Board is demanding  260 rupees as late fee from them.“One the one hand they snap internet service and stopped us from submitting forms while on the other they are charging late fee even before the due date. This is sheer injustice,” one of the students told news agency CNS.“If the last date to submit fees is today they can ask for late charges from tomorrow,” a student said adding that it is the responsibility of the government to give students more time in submitting their forms. Secretary State Board of Technical Education Mehmood Khan was all fire on students saying this is the best way to teach them a lesson. When asked internet services were snapped in South Kashmir he said, “Students should have submitted form earlier they know ground situation.” (CNS)
