State Vigilance Bureau, during its ongoing campaign against corruption today a clerk Rajinder Kumar posted at Nagar Council Mansa was nabbed red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 10,800.Disclosing this here today a spokesman of Vigilance Bureau Punjab said Rajinder Kumar posted at Nagar Council Mansa was nabbed by a vigilance team led by Satpal Singh Inspector Vigilance Bureau Unit Mansa, while he was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 15,000 from Sh. Pawandeep Singh, a complainant of Ward No 11, Mansa for passing the architecture plan of his house.Giving details he said the complainant has approached the VB and alleged that the above named accused was demanding bribe of Rs. 15,000 from him. After verifying her complaint the VB team laid a trap and the accused was arrested and Rs. 10,800 was recovered from him in the presence of two official witnesses. He informed that a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against him at VB police station Bathinda and further investigation was under progress.
