The District Development Commissioner Shopian today convened a joint meeting of Bankers and Sponsoring agencies to review the progress achieved under the targeted schemes launched by the banks in collaboration with the line departments for its implementation.The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Shopian, LBO RBI, DDM NABARD and district coordinators of all the banks. Besides Chiefs/District officers, heads of all the line departments of the State Government/sponsoring agencies were also present in the meeting.The meeting was conducted by the Lead District Manager to review the key developmental schemes during the first quarter financial year 2017-18(1th quarter).It was given out that a loan to the tune of Rs 163.74 crore was advanced among the 5327 beneficiaries (Income Generating Units) by the financial institutions functioning in the district achieving their by the financial targets by 19.37% and physical targets by 19.37%.The schemes implementing agencies put forth their annual report up to June 2017. The LDM presented welcome address with the progress achieved under banks and sponsoring agencies under DACP 2017-18.The meeting was given out that the J&K Bank organised four skill development workshops in which 91 candidates were imparted various skill /GEDP training course out of which 30 candidates have been selected by bank finances.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC directed the sponsoring agencies and banks to create awareness among the general masses especially the educated unemployed youth about the benefits of the schemes launched by the Government.
