Interactive session organized at Raj Bhawan

Governor Acharya Devvrat inaugurated the interactive session based on social elevation organized here today at Raj Bhawan. Member of Parliament and Chairman of ESSEL Group Dr. Subhash Chandra interacted with the youth and students of different schools from Shimla town on various issues relating to society.Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said the outlook of the people of Himachal Pradesh was liberal and the State has glorious history of serving the nation through armed forces. He said we are proud of our valiant soldiers and every citizen of the country should have the spirit of nationalism to take it further to new heights of development and prosperity.He lauded the efforts of Dr. Subhash Chandra for social services and guiding the youth in a constructive manner. He said Dr. Chandra has not only strongly carried forward the constructive vision of life but also motivated others to bring changes in their minds with positive attitude.The Governor honoured Dr. Chandra for his contributions to social and media sectors.

Dr. Chandra said that people often feel discouraged and disheartened despite of abundance of resources available for growth and development.The reason for this tendency lied in poor focus on human resource development and growth of an individual.  Citing the example of saints, he urged younger generation to work hard for mental and spiritual development. He said youth have incredible potential, which needs to be identified and guided properly.He appreciated the endeavours of the Governor for organising this interactive session in the Raj Bhawan besides other initiatives for betterment of the society.Advisor to the Governor Dr. Shashikant Sharma thanked  Dr. Chandra for participating in the event and motivating the children.The girls of Portmore School presented a colourful cultural programme on this occasion.Lady Governor Smt. Darshana Devi, Industries Minister Shri Mukesh Agnihotri, Chief Information Commissioner Shri Narendra Chauhan and other senior officers of the State Government were present on the occasion.
