The District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Ghulam Mohammad Dar, today conducted an extensive tour of different areas of Pulwama to take stock of various ongoing developmental works.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Joint Director Planning, Exen R&B and Tehsildar Pulwama accompanied the District Development Commissioner.The DDC visited the Government Women’s Degree College and took stock of the facilities available for the students with respect to Staff, internet facilities, library cum reading room facility, drinking water, sanitation measures and transportation.On the occasion, Principal Women’s Degree College apprised the DDC regarding the pending land acquisition matter. DDC assured the college administration that the matter will be resolved very soon. He urged the college principal to take measures for the beautification of College yard.

During the tour, the DDC visited Tracheal where he inspected ongoing work on the construction of new bridge and urged the concerned agency for the construction of new diversion till main bridge will be completed.District Development Commissioner also visited Tahab where he checked  the bottlenecks hindering the progress of the road widening at the main chowk. Several Shop keepers met the DDC during the tour and projected their issues, demands, and problems before him. DDC assured the public that the genuine issues will be solve on priority.While taking inspection of macdamization of  Peerpora-Arihal Road  being , DDC stressed the concerned agency for the use of quality material, so that roads will be remain  durable.Later, he also inspected the macdamization of road at Gangoo.
