GST workshop held for DDOs at Udhampur

The Commercial Tax Department today organised a workshop for Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) to inform them about the Goods and Services Act - 2017.Deputy Commissioner Appeals Rakesh Magotra, CTO Narinder Singh, CTO Rakesh Sharma interacted with the officers and discussed the issues concerning the implementation of the new tax regime threadbare.The Master Trainer, Saba Noor, CTO threw a detailed light on the Act and highlighted its advantages over other taxes through a power point presentation.The DDOs were also informed about the Registration process, Tax deduction under Sec- 51 of JKGST, Mode of payment of tax, Method of furnishing TDS certificate and penalties   if they fail to furnish the same. The workshop was followed by an interactive session in which all the DDOs put forth their queries regarding GST which were answered by the officers from Commercial Tax Department.All the Drawing and Disbursing Officers of the district attended the workshop.
