Yousuf Bhat chairs Privileges Committee meeting

A meeting of the Committee on Privileges of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held here today under the Chairmanship of MLA, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat.The Committee discussed the privilege motions given by the MLA, Mohammad Amin Bhat against the officers of Revenue and RDD for not informing him while official function of Minister for RDD was held in his constituency.Legislators, Usman Abdul Majeed, Javid Hassan Beigh and Aijaz Ahmed Mir attended the meeting and gave their suggestions regarding the Privilege Motion which was discussed in the meeting.Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag Dr Syed Abid Rasheed and Director Estates, the then Director RDD, Tassaduq Jeelani attended the meeting and briefed the Committee about the factual position of the breach of privileges.

The chairman directed both the Officers to submit their response before the Committee before its next meeting so that Committee enquires the matter accordingly. The Committee expressed their concern over not informing the local representatives during any official function and visit of any Minister in respective constituencies.SDM, Noorabad, the  then ACD Kulgam, Abdul Rashid Mir, the then BDO Kund, Abdul Rashid Rayoo besides Secretary Legislative Assembly, M R Singh, Additional Secretary, LA Naseem Jan besides senior officers and officials of Assembly Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
