Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Member Legislature Council (MLC) Ramesh Arora has felicitated Shri Amarnath Yatra Welfare Society (SAYWS) Kashmir Incharge Rafiq Ahmed Wani including galaxy of Artists and Art organisations during a folk play staged by National Bhand Theatre Kashmir at Tagore Hall Srinagar.A folk play staged by National Bhand Theatre Kashmir entitled ‘Akanundhun’ at Tagore Hall Srinagar wherein MLC Ramesh Arora was chief guest in the function in which Art lovers of the valley participated and attended the function.Rafiq was felicitated by MLC for his work towards the welfare of yatries during the Shri Amarnath Yatra for the last 20 years. He was also applauded by the chief guest and other dignitaries present on the occasion. Rafiq Wani while speaking on the occasion threw light on his working throughout the yatra period for the last 20 years under the supervision and efforts of Society National General Secretary Raju Chandel who have gave us aspiration in conducting Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage and to maintain brotherhood and harmony during the yatra period. He further said that entire credit goes to Raju Chandel for his efforts in organizing free Langers for yatries enroute to Amarnath pilgrimage.He further condemned the terrorist attack on Amarnath yatries on Jul 10 in which 8 yatries were killed and about more than 20 injured. He said that no religion allows inhumane activities towards mankind and appealed to the people of India not to succumb to these anti-national elements. He added that every Kashmiri is here to safeguard Amarnath yatries in Kashmir valley since yatra time. He also informed that during the Amarnath incident, I along with my youth team had visited the Anantnag Hospital to know about the well being of the injured pilgrims and donated blood to save the lives of yatries there which was appreciated by the hospital administration for this noble cause.
