DC Srinagar reviews progress of Aadhaar enrolment

Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar today convened a meeting to review the progress of Biometric Capturing for Aadhaar enrollment in District Srinagar.Additional District Development Commissioner, Joint Commissioner (Adm) SMC, Joint Director Planning (CPO) JD Census, CEO BB Cant, Secretary SMC, Tehsildars and representatives of Vendor (M/S Chinar Construction Company) and other concerned attended the meeting.

The meeting was informed that 30 additional  Aadhar Machines will be installed in SMC Ward Offices in addition to Aadhar machines already installed in District Srinagar to cope up the rush of left out people.Deputy Commissioner directed the vendor to ensure that the Biometric Capturing is done in a transparent manner and in a foolproof way.He also asked the officers to generate mass awareness about the enrollment drive so that more and more people can avail benefits of various Government run schemes.
