DDC Kulgam takes stock of public grievances at Katrusoo

To reach out to the people of  rural areas of district Kulgam, District Development Commissioner today  listened to  the public grievances at a Darbar held at Katrusoo, Kulgam.The Darbar was attended by all the District officers of different departments.The main demands presented before the DDC were about pure water supply of Katrusoo and adjoining villages including Khee Jogi Pora, Mohammad Pora, Khandi Pora, Shali Pora &  Mattibug.During the Public Darbar, the district officers of Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry & health departments gave a brief account of different schemes operating at different levels. The officers sought public cooperation in identifying the actual beneficiaries besides the potential areas to be developed.The Deputy Commissioner assured that all the issues would be taken care of and immediate and pro-active steps shall be taken to address the issues.

The DC directed the PHE department to come up with a detailed project report for much needed public demand of availability of portable water to public to adjoining villages on priority besides upgradation of existing Animal Husbandry Centre at Katrusoo. The Social Welfare Department was directed to speed up the pendency regarding sanction of old age pension cases among the deserving applicants.Speaking on the occasion, the DC said,  "we want to delegate powers to village level committees already framed to monitor the execution of social welfare schemes so that recommendations made by them shall be implemented on priority on ground."Among other, the Darbar was participated by Tehsildar Kulgam, District officers of Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, Education, Health & Rural Development, ICDS, Xens of PDD, R&B, & other revenue officers.
