The daily wagers and casual labouers of Mechanical Irrigation and Flood Control Department have called off their strike after authorities assured them that their 3 year wages will be released within ten days.The daily wagers and casual labouers of Mechanical Irrigation and Flood Control Department were on strike as a result work on several schemes had got affected.Chief Engineer I&FC Department Imtiyaz Ahmed Dhaar called a meeting with the president  Mechanical Irrigation Federation Union Farooq Ahmed Khan and during the meeting the Chief Engineer assured the employees that their pending wages will be released within 10 days. He also assured them that their regularization issue will also be taken up.Farooq Ahmed Khan told CNS that the daily wagers have called off their strike for 10 days after the assurance given by the Chief Minister.
