DC chairs collectors’ meet on ‘Land acquisition'

In order to finalize cases of land acquisition under compulsory acquisition for various road projects, a collectors  meeting was held here today under the Chairmanship of District Collector, land acquisition, Poonch, Tariq Ahamad Zargar.A detailed discussion was held on fixing the rates of  land in various areas of the district required for different developmental projects as per Land Acquisition Act.A total of 20 cases were taken up, of which, five cases were pertained to PMGSY while one case to PWD roads and rest 14 cases belonged to  GREF's/BRO's.Besides discussing important land acquisition matters deliberation was also held on accelerating pace of work on construction of major road projects  like Loran  Tangmarg Road.Zargar directed BRO authorities to put in strenuous efforts for timely completion of important road projects. The meeting approved rates for the process of land acquisition for upcoming PMGSY, PWD and GREF road projects which further strengthen the road network in the district. The meeting was attended by Collector Land Acquisition  Defense Rajouri-Poonch Range Quyoom Mir, ACR, Ashraf Chowdhary, OC 79 RCC, Ghutam Parshad Baniya, SDM Surnkote Bashrat Inqlabi besides other concerned officers.
